Foods and Inns is a multi-location manufacturer and exporter of a range of processed Tropical fruits pulps, purees and vegetables with state of the art factories in Mumbai, Chittor, Valsad, Sinnar and Gonde (Nashik). Their principal divisions are Aseptic, Canning, Spray Drying, and Frozen fruits, IQF vegetables and snacks.

Challanges

The aseptic area is covered with a number of pasteurizers. Pasteurization is the process of heat processing a liquid or a food to kill pathogenic bacteria to make the food safe to eat. The machine used to heat the product in the production line. Also, the pasteurizers were not insulated from the outside, due to this all the heat was dissipated into the surrounding area which use to become hot the temperature would go up to 70 degrees Celsius. This made the working conditions not suitable for the people working there.

Key Initiatives

We provided 100% fresh air & 100% exhaust all heat that was dissipated was sucked at the source and exhausted to the ambit, making condition suitable for the employees to work. We used air cooled by water to solve the problem. This solution provided a cheap and effective solution.






Key Impacts

Aseptic Area maintained at 30 Deg C even high heat dessipation by non insulated Tube and Tube type pasturisers. All hot zone installed and exhausted heat directly after generation and other working zone feeded with fresh cool air with help of Single stage Evaporative Coolers.
